About:

How do you enhance a visual language that's already established? In my current role at Riverbend Consulting as a Creative Lead, I have been challenged to redesign and revitalize the company's brand DNA, so they can outshine competitors and stand out at in-person trade shows, online events and all digital platforms.

Synthesis:

Riverbend Consulting's mission is to solve problems for Amazon Sellers, especially in their most urgent crisesTheir brand has a distinct color palette of orange and blue, which being complementary colors, needed to be composed in the correct manner to harmoniously vibrate. The brand has always represented images of water to visually communicate the essence of their original branding, inspired by piloting sellers and vendors through the treacherous waters of Amazon.

Process:

  • Accessing what the core elements of the brand are, (mission, vision, positioning, target audience)

  • Distilled the synthesis of the brand's core and began processing how the core could translate visually.

  • Analyzed what visual elements were successful and  unsuccessful to organize what to add and subtract to the visual language.

  • Began conceptualizing different ideas to give concrete form and turn intent into reality

  • Narrowed down one vision after close collaboration with the Marketing team and Cofounders of the company

  • Executed the singular vision consistently into every corner of Riverbend's brand-marketing.

Visual Language:

Using a synergistic gradient of blue transitioning into orange overlaid on an image of moving water, the viewer is able to read all of Riverbend's core in one image. Streamlining the essence of that concept in many different forms generated instantly recognizable visuals. With active visuals, I juxtaposed a geometric san-serif typeface, Poppins, with custom double-story lowercase 'a' glyphs (to hint towards Amazon's 'a'.) This typeface was used for optimal readability and representation of the company's futuristic vision.
